Directions to Solve

In each of the following questions two statements are given and these statements are followed by two conclusions numbered (1) and (2). You have to take the given two statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.

Give answer:

  • (A) If only (1) conclusion follows
  • (B) If only (2) conclusion follows
  • (C) If either (1) or (2) follows
  • (D) If neither (1) nor (2) follows and
  • (E) If both (1) and (2) follow.

9.

Guys. Option D is d the correct one.

Here two diff diagrams says that there are two different possibility.

Either it can satisfy 1st diagram or 2nd diagram.

So in this condition (where there are two diff possibility) how can we make the conclusion. So we CANNOT make d CONCLUSION here.

This is the rule.

And here Or represents two different possibility. Its not like either fulfill this or fulfill other condition.

In the second statement the subject is Crows which is not distributed at all thats why the answer is "D".

If we follow with 2nd diagram opt:D is correct. If we follow 1st diagram opt:D is correct.

Post the correct procedure.
This makes confusion in answer.

But, everyone usually get idea of 1st diagram.

Guys there can two more venn diagrams be drawn for this particular question. Considering them also answer A is the correct one.

I think only because we are getting two different possibilities from the two venn diagrams so we can't come to a conclusion.

So answer D is correct.

D is correct because it is satisfying in only one diagram. The conclusion 1.

Answer D is correct. Conclusion '1' would have been correct had it given like this - some cows 'may' be elephants note the word 'may'.

Therefore answer is D.

This is simple look. When both given statements are particular positive (for example use of Some, many, a few, quite a few, not many, very little, most of, almost, generally, often, frequently, etc. ) then no conclusion can be drawn?

Option A is the correct answer.

(in syllogism we have to consider all the possible outcomes. So we cannot omit the second case.).
