Indeed there are two possibilities.
Going Left to Right.
1> Deepa -> Prakash -> Lalit -> Preeti -> Mukesh -> Pankaj.
2> Deepa -> Pankaj -> Mukesh -> Preeti -> Lalit -> Prakash.
Going Left to Right.
1> Deepa -> Prakash -> Lalit -> Preeti -> Mukesh -> Pankaj.
2> Deepa -> Pankaj -> Mukesh -> Preeti -> Lalit -> Prakash.

1> Prakash-> Deepa-> Pankaj.
2> Mukesh-> Priti-> Lalit.
The above two case each can be arranged in clockwise direction and anti-clockwise direction, this is not cleared in the question, but in either of the case, prakash is sitting opposite to mukesh, as directed in the question, but what about the rest, if not stated, should we arrange them in the clockwise direction or in the anti-clockwise direction. ?

The sequence can be also written in Clockwise pattern.
But options will not match !
Both clockwise and anti-clockwise are right !

Both the cases are possible, clockwise and anticlockwise. Is there any preference which should we choose?

It is apparent that there are two arrangements possible here. Both satisfying the conditions given.
Now, to the question to which one we should choose if we come across such situation in exam, we have two options:
1. Answer choice will not match with your answer, try to find another arrangement if you have time. Obviously, you will choose to find another answer only if you are damn sure.
2. Leave the question. Because, if the data given is not adequate for you, it is not adequate for other examine too. May be after exam, the authority will take any action to compensate.
