Facing to the centre means we have to go with an anticlockwise Direction, so left and right will be reversed.
Facing outwards to the centre means we have to go in a clockwise direction, so left and right.

Either clockwise or anticlockwise is supposed to be used both should give same answers your answers are only correct when we take anticlockwise as left and clockwise as right.

If the persons are facing towards center- Clockwise.
If the persons are facing outside- Anticlockwise.
If the persons are facing outside- Anticlockwise.
