@All

Please try to understand one thing that 'C is sitting next to D' means C can be sitting LEFT or RIGHT to D.

Please Don't assume 'next' means it should be RIGHT side.

Therefore, the given answer is correct.

Hope this will help you.

From all of this it is clear that in question there should be "D" is sitting next to "C" instead of "C" is sitting next to "D" to full fill the condition that C is on the second position from right. And also we are going from left to right.

i) D is not sitting with E who is on the left end of the bench.
Ans: E _ _ _ _

ii) C is on the second position from the right.
Ans: E _ _ C _

iii) A is to the right of B and E.
Ans: E B A C _ or E B A C D

So answer is option B.

E is in leftmost.

If B and A in 1st and position then D is in mid.
but we have together C and A.

So, A and B in 4th and 3rd and D and C in 1st and 2nd position.

E B A C D is the correct order.

A is next to B means- BA,
C sitting next to D means-DC,
E sits left to the bench. So the order is E B A D C.

NOW, A sitting in between B & D.

IF IT IS WRONG, CAN ANY ONE EXPLAIN THE CORRECT ORDER?

@All,

C can seat either left or right.

But if you read the question carefully it is clear that by saying 'A and C are seating together ' hence the position of c is fixed which is at the left of D.

'A' is sitting next to 'B' means 'A' should be on right side of 'B' as we are following row seating arrangement from left to right. Then how is it possible 'C' 'D' as per the given question?

If the direction is not mention in the question we take always they are facing NORTH side.

C is next to D means either left are right.

So, the order is E B D C A.

There are contradictory conditions.

I. C is next to D.

II. A and C are sitting together.

Position of C is clear so D is next to it that is at right end.
