@All.
Here, it's mentioned as it is sunrise because Vishal's shadow is left of Uday. I thought South because the direction I took is N.
W - | - E
S.
Put Vishal at the top and Uday at the bottom reverse the answer.
Then you can find the answer is North because the sun rises in the east so the shadow is on the west (left of Uday) and Uday is facing North.
THE ANSWER IS NORTH.

The answer is NORTH.
Because Vishal's shadow is to the left of UDAI it means UDAI is facing to north side then only we can say that UDAI's shadow in the morning will on the left side.
Here UDAI's left is Vishal's right (that is why the question is saying Vishal's shadow is to the left of UDAI).
In the question, we have to tell UDAI's face direction, not of Vishal.

South is a correct answer because at the morning, the sun rises at the east so the shadow should be on the west. A udhai's left means he is in the north but facing south. So South is the correct one.

Since the sun rises in the east, shadows always fall toward the west in the morning. For a shadow to appear exactly to the left or right, the person cannot be facing east or west, because in those directions the shadow would fall directly behind them. Therefore, they must be facing either north or south.
Now, if Udai were facing south, Vishal (standing opposite him, facing north) would have his shadow fall to Udai’s right. But if Udai is facing north, then Vishal (standing opposite him, facing south) will have his shadow fall exactly to Udai’s left.
Hence, Udai must be facing North.
