Consider yourself as z then x is in north of z so on your head and p is in south of z that is your feet so they are in same line y is in east of x that is from x a straight in east direction join p and y you get triangle to draw there + at p and see it is south-west.

How do you know P is SW position?
When the question asks p is in the south of z Not say to p Position not left /right of South of z.
