I am getting the answer as south-east.

1) X(west) --------------------------Y (y is east of x) means x is on west.
|
2) Z is North of x -------------------------direct Y is for P (in which direction of Y is P) so if you go Y to P (south-east)
|
3) P is south of Z.

Dear Friends.

As per this problem, we all are getting, the answer is south-east. But the answer is South-West.

I tried so many times, then I have been getting the same answer, i.e. South-East.

I am not able to understand the logic in this problem.

If there is any logic to resolve this problem. Please explain about this problem.

Guys. I need answer for this question. Actually the direction comes as west but it showing answer as north.

Siva starting from his house, goes 5 km in the East, then he turns to his left and goes 4 km. Finally he turns to his left and goes 5 km. Now how far is he from his house and in what direction?

Please help me.

The correct answer is south-east, because the given answer shows that y is in the west of x. So the answer is south west but the actual question is y is in the east of x. So the diagram gets interchanged.

Y (EAST)--------X (WEST).
:
Z.
:
P (SOUTH).

So the answer is south-east.

@ALL.

Consider yourself as z then x is in north of z so on your head and p is in south of z that is your feet so they are in same line y is in east of x that is from x a straight in east direction join p and y you get triangle to draw there + at p and see it is south-west.

Let me clarify;

Simple;

As per the question Y is EAST of X ( Here, understood that Y is placing a X's east position , neither Y NOT REMAINS in " EAST side ".

So, the conclusion is Y is in a west side ( in view of X it was in a east side),
Answer is SOUTH-WEST.

No its on south- west. I will explain.

1) First take the last one (in this problem, Y is in the East of X which is in the North of Z). So first fix 'Z' then 'X' Then 'Y'.

2) Then P is in the South of Z.

3) They ask with respect to Y.

So the answer will be south west.

What you have to do is follow the arrow, the southeast is a right down tilted arrow and the southwest is a left down tilted arrow.

So draw the diagram and the arrow of which relation you want to find and match the direction of the arrow!

Yeah, the answer is south-west.

It's clear from the followed diagram because in this question it is been clear that they ask in which direction of y is p so they clearly ask the position of p with respect to y is South west.

Listen guys simple.

What is the right side of the x?

West-X-East.

So, Y is in the north east of X then,

P is in the south west of y i.e. P is in the south and left of Y is west i.e., West-Y-East.

So answer is South-West.
