The correct answer is south-east, because the given answer shows that y is in the west of x. So the answer is south west but the actual question is y is in the east of x. So the diagram gets interchanged.

Y (EAST)--------X (WEST).
:
Z.
:
P (SOUTH).

So the answer is south-east.

I am getting the answer as south-east.

1) X(west) --------------------------Y (y is east of x) means x is on west.
|
2) Z is North of x -------------------------direct Y is for P (in which direction of Y is P) so if you go Y to P (south-east)
|
3) P is south of Z.

As per my view,

=> with respect to Y.

Imagine that.

=> The Y is in south.

=> Then the P position must west to Y.
