The answer is southwest because the twist is :) first, we need to find out the starting position so he started from north and headed towards south so after the entire scenario he will reach sooth again and if we trace the middle direction from the starting point to the ending point with the rough diagram we will get the answer as South West (SW).

Earlier, I got confused. I marked it as south, but there's a hidden meaning in the last line where we simply have to find the direction from the starting point, not just the direction that person is facing now.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I think the correct answer is south because Right-left will cancel and man is at the same place.
