No, south west is right because if you see starting point mention its all direction then you find its at the south west of the north.

The answer is southwest because the twist is :) first, we need to find out the starting position so he started from north and headed towards south so after the entire scenario he will reach sooth again and if we trace the middle direction from the starting point to the ending point with the rough diagram we will get the answer as South West (SW).

According to me, the solution is;

Let the starting point be x.
This person walks 5km south. So he is in the south direction from the starting point.
From the point he stopped, he turned right. He is in the west direction from the starting point.
From the point he stopped now, he turned left. He is in the south-west direction from the starting point.
Hence, the answer is option D, South-West.
