Just put in place of 12 or just reverse clock such as 6 is on top that time this condition satisfy. Cos at time of 9. 15-hour hand is on 9 and the minute hand is on 3 that is 15 min. So, 3 is exactly opposite to 9 and as 9 is on east 3 is on the west.

@All.

Let me explain

Rahul has tweaked his clock so, that 6 becomes North. So, that means 12 is South now, but that also means 9 is now East and 3 is now West. The clock has rotated completely, understand?

Now they ask you which direction is the MINUTE HAND pointing at, when its 9 hours and 15 MINUTES. Since everything is reversed now, the hour hand instead instead it of being in the West in a normal clock is now in the East. And in a normal clock when 15 minutes passed, the minute hand is at 3. But since everything is reversed now, the minute hand is POINTING WEST.

So, West is the correct answer.

It's so simple @Manisha.

Here North direction shows 6 O clock
So the direction will be changed accordignly
Then they ask what time 9:15 shows;
So, simply if 6 shows north 9 : 15-minute hand shows west direction.

West is the correct answer.

When you rotate the clock in clockwise or anti clockwise it will not make any difference in the movement of hands.
In general 3 is east direction but if you rotate it 3 will be in the west direction.

I hope it's cleared.

Step-by-Step Explanation:

1. Understanding the Orientation:
Normally, at 6:00 P.M., the hour hand points to 6 on the clock.
But Rahul says that when it points to 6, it's pointing to North.
That means the normal "6" on the clock is now aligned with North.

This also means:

12 → South
3 → West
9 → East
The directions are rotated 180° from normal.

2. Understanding the Clock at 9:15 P.M:

At 9:15 P.M., the minute hand is on 3 (because 15 minutes = quarter past the hour).
Now, what does "3" mean in terms of direction?
Normally, 3 is East.
But in this new setup (with 6 as North), 3 points to the West.

Final Answer:
At 9:15 P.M., the minute hand points to 3, which is West in this setup.

So, the correct direction is West (Option D).
