This is incorrect.
"After this, he is to turn right at 135 degrees".
The diagram in the solution depicts that 'P' is already facing right (south) before deciding an angle of continuation. Which conflicts with the description of 'P's movement. Should 'P' have turned right at 135 degree angle from his prior Eastward bearing, the angle would have 'P' traveling South-East.
Simply match the base of a protractor atop 'P's Eastward bearing and you'll notice in the diagram given in the solution the creator of this question assumes P is already facing right, before then taking another slight turn of 135 degrees; two turns would be needed for the diagram depictions to be correct. The language of the description only indicates one fluid movement of 135 degrees.

From A to B p is in west direction and B to C is in north direction C to D is in east direction.
We know that from north to east, south, west north angle is 360 degree therefore.
N to E 90 degree, E to S 90 degree, S to W 90 degree, W to N 90 degree.
Now p is in east direction given that p turns 135 degree.
135 degree = 90+45 degree.
From 90 degree p is in south again 45 degree so p is in south west direction.

In question, It's not mentioned that;
If he wanted to go home from point d' or.
If he wanted to go home from where he has already reached.
For first -the answer is south-east.
For second-the answer is north-east.

We are facing east when at point D. 135° means it will be as in the fig shown, which direction should he go ?
a) If to get home he should go south-east.
b) If to continue the past he should go south-west.

Incorrect.
How could 135° goes south west..its not only 35°
So if 135° Right From D it should be Southeast.
It's South East is the correct answer.

P's face is already in the East direction and if he moves 90 degrees then he will reach south furthermore he takes 45 degrees then he faces southwest.

According to the diagram, we have to turn right at 135 from point D, so he will move towards south-west.
We have to see direction from point D.
We have to see direction from point D.

According to me, it should be south-east because 135° will form obtuse angle whereas in the diagram it is showing it is an acute angle so.

The correct answer is south-west only
Because from where he is standing we have to take a 135-degree turn in a clock-wise direction only.

If you use the protractor and draw 135°ree; on the right of D, then angle will be facing South-East. Please clarify.
If I am wrong.
