Question: Who is to the immediate right of P among five persons P, Q, R, S and T facing North ?
Statements:
- R is third to the left of Q and P is second to the right of R.
- Q is to the immediate left of T who is second to the right of P.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
From I, we have the order: R, -, P, Q.
From II, we have the order: P, Q, T.
Clearly, each one of the above two orders indicates that Q is to the immediate right of P.

How do you get P, Q, T from II, It should be P, -,Q, T because it is second to the write of P?

Both statements are required to find the answer. Hence, the answer should be E.

From the second statement - Q is to the immediate left of T who is second to the right of P. It is not clear whether is it Q or T who is second to the right of P. There is an ambiguity in the statement.

It is not necessary to consider the 2nd sentence as the letter immediate to the right of P can be found only using 1st statement.

From the first statement, below conclusion can be drawn:
