Question: How is Tanya related to the man in the photograph ?

Statements:

  1. Man in the photograph is the only son of Tanya's grandfather.
  2. The man in the photograph has no brothers or sisters and his father is Tanya's grandfather.

I alone is sufficient while II alone is not sufficient
II alone is sufficient while I alone is not sufficient
Either I or II is sufficient
Neither I nor II is sufficient
Both I and II are sufficient
Answer: Option
Explanation:

From I, we conclude that the man is the only son of Tanya's grandfather i.e. he is Tanya's father or Tanya is the man's daughter.

From II, we conclude that the man's father is Tanya's grandfather. Since the man has no brothers or sisters, so he is Tanya's father or Tanya is the man's daughter.

Agree with @Shubham.

He is anyways a related person to Tanya irrespective of uncle or father. He is in her family.

First of all, the son of Tanya's grandfather maybe her maternal uncle or her father.

Correct me, if I am wrong.

In both the cases the man in the photograph can be Tanya's father or maternal uncle.

So option (D) is correct.

But I also think that Tanya's grandpa may be from his /her mother's father, so maybe the answer is correct.

The answer should be (C). Because if the man is Uncle then he can't be the "Son" of Tanya's Grandfather.

@All.

Here Both statement clearly says that Tanya's father so the correct option should be option C.

Here gender of tanya is not given and only on the basis of female name we can't say tanya is female.

I think correct answer is C. Both statements say that Tanya's father is tha man in photograph.

It doesn't matter it Tanya's grandfather has a daughter or not the main concern is the man.

We don't care about gender of Tanya. Tanya is child of the man in the photograph.
