Question: Which word in the code language means 'flower' ?

Statements:

  1. 'de fu la pane' means 'rose flower is beautiful' and 'la quiz' means 'beautiful tree'.
  2. 'de la chin' means 'red rose flower' and 'pa chin' means 'red tea'.

I alone is sufficient while II alone is not sufficient
II alone is sufficient while I alone is not sufficient
Either I or II is sufficient
Neither I nor II is sufficient
Both I and II are sufficient
Answer: Option
Explanation:

From the two statements given in I, the code for the only common word 'beautiful' can be determined.

From the two statements given in II, the code for the only common word 'red' can be determined.

In I and II, the common words are 'rose and 'flower' and the common code words are 'de' and 'la'. So, the code for 'flower' is either 'de' or 'la'.

The correct answer of this question is 'E'.

from 1st the code of beautiful is 'la' and from 2nd the code of red is 'chin'
from 1st and 2nd the code for "rose flower" should be 'de la'. 'la' is already code for beautiful. so rest 'de' is the code for 'flower'.

We can easily find "beautiful" so 1st statement is true.

In 2nd statement we can not find so that is not necessary.

Correct answer is E. Why because from first statement we can easily get to know that code indicates beautiful? And from the second statement we can conclude that code the indicates flower. So option E is correct.
