He is the only son of the only child of my grandfather:- which means he is the only one son and may have 1 or more daughters, and his father/mother is the only child (means his father has no brother and sister /or his mother has no brother and sister) of Reena's grandfather.

That implies Reena has a brother who has mother/father as a single child of their father.

Hope you understand.

But he is the only son. Then how Reena is his sister?

Get the word clearly, it says that ONLY SON of the only child ----means her father's only son but her father could have many daughters one among them is REENA.

Hence REENA is the sister of that boy.

As per my understandings Reena is the mother of the boy.

Explanation: Only child of Reena's GrandFather is Reena herself. Now the boy is the only son of grandfather's child so he is only son of Reena.

The only son of -> there are only one male child and other children will be female.

So Reena is his sister.

Who said reena is girl? we should not assume anything.

So cannot be determined.
