1) If lata is FEMALE, then the person (boy) in Photograph is the brother of Lata.
2) If lata is MALE, then the person (boy) in Photograph is the brother of lata.

The grandfather may have a daughter or many daughters also but only one son. The correct answer should be either brother or cousin.

Here both the options brother and cousin are given. So we can't determine exactly the correct answer. So, I think the answer is data inadequate.

The correct answer would be DATA INADEQUATE since two cases is possible. One, where Lata's Mother is the sister of THE ONLY SON (of grandfather), which means the son of the only son is a cousin of LATA.
Secondly, Lata's father is the ONLY SON, which makes the son of the only son, Lata's own brother.
