Secondly, Lata's father is the ONLY SON, which makes the son of the only son, Lata's own brother.

I thought we were not supposed to assign gender based on the name. In some questions, the name Kiran is used for both boys and girls.

The grandfather may have a daughter or many daughters also but only one son. The correct answer should be either brother or cousin.
