Whether, D is male or female not given so according to relation it could be NEPHEW or NIECE but clearly mentioned in options "[D]. Cannot be determined" so we have to select that one only.

Here the question is how D is related to A.
According to A, brother's son (or) daughter will be a nephew (or) niece.
If they ask how A is related to D then,
According to D, father's brother (or) sister will be an uncle (or) aunt.
So,the answer is D because they didn't mention the gender of D in question.

Nephew is more appropriate than the option can't be determined, right?
Because the answer is either nephew or niece. Instead of roughly saying can't b determined. We can select one of the possible answers that is nephew right?

A, C = Male,
B = Female,
C = Father of D.
It means that A, B, C are brother & sister with one another and D is their cousin. Hence A will be the uncle of D.

Hi, everyone option D is the right answer. Because D is son or daughter of C then it is a nephew or nice of A.

@Lakhveer Singh.
Here A, B &C are siblings.
And in problem, clearly given that C is the father of D. &D is either male or female which is not confirm.
So we can not determine its gender.
Therefore option[D] is the right answer.
