I differ with the explanation given.
C is the father of D, B is the Sister of C i.e D's aunt.
A is brother of B i.e C's brother i.e D's uncle.
If anybody do not agree with me, kindly reply.

See (Given), A is brother of B.
B is sister of C.
C is father of D.
so, A (male), B (Female), C (Male) are brothers & sisters
Here A is brother of C;
that is A's brother's (i.e.C's), son D will be Nephew/Niece based upon D's sex;

Define nephew: A son of your brother or sister usage, synonyms, more.
I think the correct answer is "C" because NEPHEW is given in the 4 option. No matter in male or female. In this question only say relation with D AND A.

[]=male.
() =female.
Now start:
a brother of b.
b sister of c.
Since c is father of d it means c is male.
Here d^s gender is not defined then we have to chose answer 4.
