If p is the father of q and s is the mother of t then who is the granny of f?

I got the answer to the question. But I don't see why you need the * bit in the answer. Shouldn't it just be P-M+Q as Q is the child of M and P is the brother of M, making P the maternal uncle of Q. It is surely a more correct way of putting it?

Why can't it be P-M+Q?

Can anybody draw the diagram?

Friends mostly this kind of questions option is A or A option values change means in place of Q he give P and in place of P he give Q like that.

The answer could just be->P-M+Q.

I don't know, why alphabets are changed in answers?

q-n = q brother n.

n+m = n mother m.

m*p = m sister p.

(m sister p) daughter of n (n is brother q) here (q is maternal uncle p) opposite to the question. So not correct.

p+s = p mother of s.

s*n = s sister of n.

n-q = n brother of q.

Here (s, n, q are brother and sister) and their (mother is p). So not correct.

p-m = p brother of m.

m+n = m mother of n.

n*q = n sister of q.

Here (n and q sister) their (mother is m) and (p and m) are brother and sister (brother of m is maternal uncle of q). So it is correct answer.
