In a group of cows and hens, the number of legs are 14 more than twice the number of heads. The number of cows is
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Let the number of cows be x and the number of hens be y.
Then, 4x + 2y = 2 (x + y) + 14 4x + 2y = 2x + 2y + 14
2x = 14
x = 7.

According to Me;.
Here;
7cow x 4 legs =28legs.
7head X 2 =14 head (To make it twice the no of the head).
Therefore here I got;
28 legs and 14 heads.
Where the legs is 14 more than twice the no of the head.
The answer is 7.

As we know, the no of legs of a cow is 4 while the hen is of 2.
The number of cows was taken to be x and that of a hen be y.
Naturally, legs x heads = 4x (cow).
Legs x head = 2y (hen).
