Explanation:

Let total number of members be 100,

Then, number of members owning only 2 cars = 20.

Number of members owning 3 cars = 40% of 80 = 32.

Number of members owning only 1 car = 100 - (20 + 32) = 48.

It is already said that 20 persons own only 2 cars. So, (100-20=80) those are remaining students.
