In a garden, there are 10 rows and 12 columns of mango trees. The distance between the two trees is 2 metres and a distance of one metre is left from all sides of the boundary of the garden. The length of the garden is
20 m
22 m
24 m
26 m
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Each row contains 12 plants.

There are 11 gapes between the two corner trees (11 x 2) metres and 1 metre on each side is left.

Therefore Length = (22 + 2) m = 24 m.

In Q if height is asked then how it should be solve, please someone tell me?

Distance can also be measured considering there are 12 trees in 1 row, each having 1 meter on either side of each tree i.e. 2 meters/tree.

Therefore: 12 trees*2 meters=24 meters length.

Distance between boundary and first tree=1 meter.

And there are 12 trees so distance between 12 trees =11*2=22 meters.

(distance between two trees is 2 meters).

Distance between boundary and last tree=1 meter.

1+22+1=24 meters.

Yes, the answer is 24 only. He asked only the length of the garden, but not breadth.

Answer would be 24m. Because one meter is left from all sides but its length is asked in question. So 22+ (1m from left+1m from right) =24m.

I also think answer should be 26.

Because one metre is left from all sides of the boundary of the garden.

If 2m is left on each side than answer shold be 26

There are 11 gapes between the two corner trees (11 x 2) metres and 1 metre on each side is left.

Therefore Length = (22 + 2+2) m = 26 m.
