I agree of the choice D because if you examined the question GRAIN;SALT there is no relation both of the two. So chip:glass has no relation too. It is logic that choice D is the answer.

Grain means little particle that is salt.
Chip means break off, glass can be break.

But salt represents the shape of grain and the grass of blades. So it should be grass n blade.

Ramesh is absolutely wrong since the grain is considered as the smallest part of salt where as similarly chips are made of sio2 it is a part of glass hence D is the right option.
