I agree with Borhan. I find the Q-A misleading/confusing - should we go for strict synonyms (as stated in the answer feedback, though not in the question) or for nearest meaning?

Enlightened is more appropriate than waken. Waken being synonymous to awaken is just like saying that the synonym of enlightened is lightened.

I think AWAKENED should be enlightened. More appropriate among the options. Waken is kind of a loose shot.

Awaken means make an entity to become aware, so that word aware means make some one to realise the truth.
