Awakened means wake, arouse, provoke, kindle, awake etc.

I think AWAKENED should be enlightened. More appropriate among the options. Waken is kind of a loose shot.

Awakened means waken.

Borhan said: (Mar 9, 2014)
Awakened is an adjective. So synonym may also be an adjective.

Enlightened is appropriate.

Emb said: (Oct 16, 2014)
I agree with Borhan. I find the Q-A misleading/confusing - should we go for strict synonyms (as stated in the answer feedback, though not in the question) or for nearest meaning?

Barbara said: (Oct 19, 2014)
Awakened is a past participle/adjective and its synonym needs also to be the same.

Keziah said: (Nov 16, 2014)
Enlightened is more appropriate than waken. Waken being synonymous to awaken is just like saying that the synonym of enlightened is lightened.

Rathi said: (Dec 3, 2014)
Awaken synonyms arouse, awake, excite, provoke, revive, etc...

Trishul said: (Jul 15, 2015)
Awakened and waken are in two different tense form. Doesn't that make awaken inappropriate.

Silu said: (Aug 5, 2016)
Sure, it is enlightened.

Soumya said: (Oct 25, 2016)
Yeah, enlightened seems more appropriated.

Mani Ganesan said: (Oct 25, 2016)
