Name of a place is not mentioned in the sentence so there is no need of using the pronoun 'that' or using it will make the sentence wrong.

The area itself is unknown, We can never use the word 'area' without giving any particular address.
Example:
We need to talk, come to the area.......(seems incomplete).
We need to talk, come to that area......(seems meaningful).
So according to me, there is nothing wrong here.
