Contact is never preceded by any article (Rule of grammar). Even while speaking we say "be in contact with us" and here we are not referring any a particular thing or any highlighting contact in sentence so if no article follow's word contact than its right.

In the sentence "the Best" who thought and is given importance rather than "the contact" That is why removed "the" contact which is used here as noun.

Whether "contact" is noun or verb, we don't use the before it until it is a physical touch-contact.

THE is an article that always follow either by a noun or an adjective.
In the above sentence "contact" is a verb so we need to remove "the" from this sentence to make this grammatical appropriate.
