Unselfish is also wrong.

"The" is used to denote particular nouns. Here in this sentence "come into contact with the best part. In the world "means that mentions anything the best to be chosen. So "the" is negligible. I think it would be correct.

Here whom to or whose contact is not specified so the will not come before "contact". Eg He should come in the contact of a policeman.

Why we should not use he before has been?

Definition of come in/into contact with. 1 : to touch (something) Do not let your skin come in/into contact with the acid. 2 : to see and begin began communicating with (someone).

In option, C can be wrong as he becomes simple and unselfish.

This is another possibility. I think then is redundant @Usha.

Why we should not use then in option C?

We do not use "the" before the abstract noun (non-physical like feelings).

And if a man diligently seeks to come into contact, I don't think this is right.

I think that the is never used with contact as contact is indefinite.
