Whether "contact" is noun or verb, we don't use the before it until it is a physical touch-contact.

In the sentence "the Best" who thought and is given importance rather than "the contact" That is why removed "the" contact which is used here as noun.

Contact is never preceded by any article (Rule of grammar). Even while speaking we say "be in contact with us" and here we are not referring any a particular thing or any highlighting contact in sentence so if no article follow's word contact than its right.
