Directions to Solve

Read each sentence to find out whether there is any grammatical error in it. The error, if any will be in one part of the sentence. The letter of that part is the answer. If there is no error, the answer is 'D'. (Ignore the errors of punctuation, if any).

"about" is use before any topic so it is in right place but thoroughly @ means complete but not deeply.

So there no need to write "so".

Option a is correct.

Because no need to use 'about' after discuss, also no need of so before thoroughly. Because its already so many times.

The correct is "we discussed the problem thoroughly".

"About", identifies a topic. In option A, "problem" is specific and does not denote a topic. Hence option A is correct. Option C is not concise but it is grammatically correct.
