Yeah option A is correct because when we disscus any matter, and we know the problem no need to use 'About'.

I feel that option A is error free coz about here means "in regard to".

Actualy 'thoroughly' itself indicates that it is perfect and no need of saying 'so thoroughly' it seems an error there.

Option a is correct.

And the sentence will be " we discussed the problem throughly".

"about" is use before any topic so it is in right place but thoroughly @ means complete but not deeply.

So there no need to write "so".
