The correct sentence should be like "We discussed the problem thoroughly", there is no need of "about" and "so".

Very through can be written. There is no word like so through. As per grammar, A is the correct answer.

Generally, such types of words like as signature, obey, disobey, marry, investigate, reach, resemble, attack, await, despite, discuss, order, comprise we don't use any preposition.
