That's because when we write the sentence as"we discussed the problem thoroughly" the meaning of the sentence is clearly understood. There is no need of 4 us to use "about" or "so". They don't add any extra meaning to the sentence.

That I found it very easy to work it out--here it is very easy would be the answer but here " it very" is written. I think like this front of view my Opinion is that, it is also incorrect in grammatically. But whats other Opinion.

Discussed : Past participle and past tense is the same. So whenever we have this fact about something done in the past, we use past per tense and past participle use have/has for any perfect tense. Also no need of "So" or "about".

After word 'discuss' we use about when we talking about the history of anything. Here we can't use about. For example.
I discuss English mean any topic of English and.
I discuss about English mean about the history of english.
I discuss English mean any topic of English and.
I discuss about English mean about the history of english.

It's not right to use 'about' after 'discuss' because the word discuss itself means to talk about 'something'/'someone'. And generally, we don't use 'so' before 'thoroughly' because itself means 'very much'.
I hope it'll help.

The rule is that transitive word do not use preposition when the direct object is started.
Transitive word ex loved, committed, admired etc.
Here the transitive word is discussed so "about" not be used.

No need of about after "discuss" because if we are discussing any matter so, It automatically means that we always discuss "about" the matter. "About" is Understood in this case So no Need to use "about.

"About", identifies a topic. In option A, "problem" is specific and does not denote a topic. Hence option A is correct. Option C is not concise but it is grammatically correct.

Option a is correct.
Because no need to use 'about' after discuss, also no need of so before thoroughly. Because its already so many times.
The correct is "we discussed the problem thoroughly".
