So 'on behalf of' is used in the place to represent the "person" on the part is used in the place to represent the "authorities".

Is it right?

Kindly any one give exact meaning where to use "on behalf of" & "on the part of".

On behalf of is used for advantage; favor; stead; benefit; interest; profit; support; defence; vindication. Whereas on part of is used for a portion; a component means a part of the whole. I think this will help you.

On behalf is used for a single person but in question it has been mentioned railway which is very wider any many person works in railway so here on behalf of will not used for railway and there option C is answer.

I should suggest option A as in this spotting errors we have to find grammatical errors not change words inside the text.

So, The Correct answer: A lot of travel delay are caused.

" A lot of travel delay is caused " in this sentence why we have to use " is caused " ... "is " in presentense and "caused" in past tense.

The distinction is that on behalf of someone means "for someone's benefit" or "representing someone", while on the part of someone can be roughly paraphrased as "by someone".

"On behalf of " means that someone does it for someone else, or for a larger group that they are part of.

"On the part of" and "on his/her/their part" means "by" or "from".

'on behalf of' applies when one speaks about a Whole thing as a unit, like person, festival etc. 'On part of' is used when we speak about something which can be divided.

We cannot use 'on behalf of' as it means that some X is representing the railways which is not appropriate in this sentence.

'In part of' directly refers to Railways
