The correct One always invests 'in' something, never invest 'on'.

Eg. What stocks should I invest in. Hence here the wrong option isn't option C but rather option A because we always use 'the' before the name of an institution when referring it in a sentence.

*should be the "the Indian Statistical Institute". Or if used without 'the', then simply "ISI".

*also, "invest in" is used when we refer to the item on which we invest. For example, "invest in property". "Invest on" is used to explain the reason for investing. For example, "invest on a hunch". Hence in this case, 'invest in' is correct.

Other is plural indefinite pronoun it should be followed by a plural noun.

So Option C should be "Indian industries" because option B says; Any other.

The Iron and Steel Industry is considered singular in form, they are one entity. The Iron and at the same steel company is just one company. Thus we used the verb "is".

It's not always plural when we used "and" it can be singular or plural depends on the context or sentence structure.

It is not plural "the iron and steel Industry " it is one industry. If they are separate industries. Then it will be mentioned as "industries". So, no error.

1. We never say in a report. We always say according to a report issued by xyz.

2. It should be "The Indian Statistical Institute" because here we are talking about a proper noun and also we are talking about a specific institute.

@All.

A single question may have more than one error but it is said to go for the error which you encounters first.

I agree with @Sandeep @Rakeshi.

It should be "iron and steel industries are" because we are using "and", "is" correct when we are using "iron or steel industries is".

It is, Indian industries in fighting pollution.

Where "and" connects two words which represent the same idea then it would be taken as a singular unit.
