What is the importance of "however" in above sentence?

At present = at the present juncture.

Is it like this ?

Should it not be "at this present juncture"?

Vertika said:   1 decade ago
Supercomputer are not there actually. So "however" has to be used here.

"will" means future tense. therefore it cant be used.

@suman: where is it superlative? plz tell.

Should it not be, "At present juncture, supercomp WILL be a costly toy."
"would" is past tense, and we are talking of present.
