'THE' is used with the particular point in time or with things which are specific.
For example: "I saw the north pole Star in the sky".
We have only 1 sky i.e. the particular thing, here in the sentence juncture means a particular point in time so we use 'THE' as a article here.

Supercomputer are not there actually. So "however" has to be used here.
"will" means future tense. therefore it cant be used.
@suman: where is it superlative? plz tell.

Should it not be, "At present juncture, supercomp WILL be a costly toy."
"would" is past tense, and we are talking of present.

JUNCTURE is being specified by the word "present" so definite article must be there before present.

Present time is a specific time. That's why this should be followed by 'the'.
