Kuldeep said: (May 22, 2016)
"It is time" must be followed by the 2nd form of the verb.

So, it is the time we accepted.

Varsha Chauhan said: (Jul 26, 2016)
@Kuldeep.

You are correct. In this discussion forum no need to use should 2nd for of verb is followed by the "it is time".

Khalid Saif said: (Aug 23, 2016)
@Kuldeep is correct. It is time, It is high time, it is opportune time etc should be followed by a second form of the verb.

Example: "It is time you went home".

Why there is no "the" before 'time'. As here is it talking about a specific time?

Prasanta said: (Sep 7, 2018)
Why equal and why not equals? Please explain the reason.

Subhajit said: (Sep 23, 2018)
We can't write equals we write equal it has no plural form.

Eg: It is the time we should accept our people as equal.

Gokulakrishnan said: (Mar 17, 2019)
As per my knowledge, when the sentence begins with "it is time", it should be followed by a simple past. Eg: accepted.

Abhimanyu Singh Chouhan said: (Jun 3, 2020)
The statement must be in past or present subjunctive. So, it should be either, "It is time we accepted" or "it is time that we accept". As far as "equals" is concerned, it is used as a plural noun here, which is correct.

Saurabh said: (Jul 17, 2020)
Here, 'It is the time ' is correct.

Abi said: (Jul 12, 2021)
Why not 'the' united nation? Please tell me.
