Pay attention to the semicolon in the question part. Semicolon is used in place of a conjunction. Put "but" in place of semicolon and the answer is easy to understand.

"What I want is that" this is not correct english. Its a kind of interrogative sentence if we use this.

Therefore, it should be "I want that".

The Correct answer is C. You "must" finish the work within a month. Should is wrong since it is only used for something that is weaker.

Yes. Should is past from which is wrong. I also think it should be 'have to'.
