After one of the noun should be plural and verb is singular.

This refers as singular, therefore it should be invention instead of inventions.

@Halim yeah Ok I agree to that but there is 'most' which specifies that we are talking about that particular invention. Doesn't it? feel free to correct me. I think answer is A.

Invention is a countable noun and after "one of the" we should always use plural noun. For this it must be inventions.
