Use "does" because his son has done his father work at present time so use "does" makes the sentences perfect one.

Why not like this "the small child does whatever his father did". Even I agree with option C also correct, but my mind say's this is also correct. Little more clarification for option B.

Wouldn't the following sentence would also be correct:

The small child does whatever his father did.
