Smuggle goods are those which are illegally brought in the country and customs has a right to seize the goods. So the correct word is confiscate.

Smuggle goods will seize by authority if you caught by them. So you have to choose the answer might close to the seize i.e., confiscate.

Actually confiscate means to take possession of something with an intent to return it .

Confiscated means to take temporary possession of as a security, by legal authority
