- The history of mankind is full of such fightings between communities, nations and people.
- From the primitive weapon of warfare, man has advanced to the modern nuclear weapons.
- Ever since the dawn of civilisation man has been fighting with man.
- A modern war is scientific in character, but the effect is the same wiping human existence out of this earth.
- The only difference now seems to be in the efficiency of the instruments used for killing each other.

These three lines still are in progression. The essence is still in abstract form, it is only giving a broader overview instead of going into further details. So, I don't know how 2 is the answer?
Anyone, please explain in detail.

You're absolutely right. Even I got 5 as the 3rd sentence. There's no way sentence 2 can be the 3rd sentence. Its Absolutely wrong. I have found multiple things wrong with the answers that these people have given.
Most of them are right but sometimes there comes a question which has the wrong answer. Better confirm from multiple sources before you try and learn from here.

I have a doubt here. My sequence comes out as 31524. The reason why i have considered 5 at third place is because it talks about the change in the weapons to kill man, but the ultimate aim is to wipe the human existence and hence I believe 5 should come before 2 and 4. There is no doubt about 3rd being the first and the only last one which is 1 should come after 3 as it is in continuation of killing human being from the past period to the present. Kindly let me know if I am wrong anywhere.
