The question is ambiguous. It can mean negative as well as positive.
For example.
There is something different about ram today.
Now here different can mean both good and bad.
For example.

Ths can be in two senses either in positive or in negative as stated above. So my question is why we are taking ths in -ve sense only?

Ya. The answer is taken in negative sense only. By seeing the question it appears as if it is in positive sense. So please can anyone clarify about the answer?

Mostly we use different in negative situations.
Counting on that probability we can say answer is C.
