Such an idyllic and rural paradise did not appear to those who inherited the reins of political power. The answer should be C.

A is definitely not the answer because 'Mahatma Gandhi believed that industrialisation was no answer to the problems that plague the mass of India's poor and that villagers should be taught to be self-sufficient', so Mahatma Gandhi did not believe in industrialization, hence those who did not believe in the industrialisation of the country can NOT Share the dream. Whereas the last line clearly backs C.

The answer is A. Because if you see it carefully not shared by Gandhi views. It is totally opposite of Gandhi.

No, you are wrong @Prayesh.

Because "idyllic and rural paradise" and industrialisation of the country are two opposite thoughts. It is imperative that the answer be C. Moreover, it is so mentioned in the paragraph, line.

Another correction-- it should be appeal and not appear.

Option C must be the correct answer as it is evident in the paragraph. Now let me go against the odds. Considering option A as the right answer is illogical, I mean it is not mentioned anywhere that those who did not believe in the industrialisation of the country did not share Mahatma Gandhi's dream.

The correct answer must be "C" It is clearly stated in the last sentence of the paragraph.
