Eg Sentence: We cannot explore the person. But, we can encourage him to explain about herself or himself.

Exhorted - strongly encourage or urge (someone) to do something.
Explored - travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it.
As passage says, A scholar wanted to know more about HER. He was trying to explore about HER. But not sure that we can explore the person. Kindly Suggest.
