Hey don't you think there should be a difference b/w 'said' and 'ordered'?

I mean when you hav used d word 'ordered' in the sentence, then don't you think it should be 'said firmly' as it is in 'D' ? Im confused. Please explain.

I think Ayesha is right.

Ayesha is definitely correct. There is no sentence that has a synonym for the word "ordered" in the choices given. The closest however is "said firmly".

Please explain I am not understanding why option a?

I guess whats written in quotes also matters. In "Go to his room and study". 'his' will change to 'your'.

I agree with @Ayesha and @Tanmay. At the first sight you tend to choose Option D. "said firmly" as it is closest to the word "ordered'. But after contemplating the Option A is equally correct because. The tone of the words "Go to your room and study" is harsh hence it relates closely with the word ordered in the question.

In option 'A' with whom the father is speaking is not present. But we should mention before the actual sentence said by father, I think so?

Please answer my doubt.

Umm, option D is apt but @Sneha, it's not very easy to see that point of view. To see the harsh tone of "Go to your room". Yeah, now that you point that out, it seems easy but I would have never guessed seeing it that way.

Ordering doesn't mean that your voice should be firm or harsh.

It completely depends on the way you are delivering the words.

But not on the pitch of your voice since that would become an unfair treatment (exploitation) not order.
