Option C cannot be the right answer because it's describing in present format using keyword (is) in the sentence.
But the answer must be:
My cousin said that her room-mate had snored throughout the night.
{note:- it has not pointed that to whom she is telling so. It cannot be as MY COUSIN TOLD ME}.
But the answer must be:
My cousin said that her room-mate had snored throughout the night.
{note:- it has not pointed that to whom she is telling so. It cannot be as MY COUSIN TOLD ME}.

There is no change in past perfect tense during changing direct to indirect speech so right answer should be.
Direct==My cousin said, "My room-mate had snored throughout the night. ".
Indir==My cousin told that his room-mate had snored through the night.
Direct==My cousin said, "My room-mate had snored throughout the night. ".
Indir==My cousin told that his room-mate had snored through the night.

No, because past perfect tense change into past perfect tense. The answer is My cousin said that her room-mate had snored throughout the night. Otherwise only complained one option could come.

My cousin told me that her room-mate had snored throughout the night.
This would be the right option, as past tense does not changes in Speeches. It should be in the past tense itself.

'said to' changed to told, but here it is only written 'said'. So it will remain 'said'.
And past perfect changes to past perfect means no change. So none is the right option.

According to rules, if the direct speech is in past perfect then indirect speech must not change. So none of the above options is correct.

The sentence is in past perfect tense so the answer should be in past perfect tense. None of these options are in past perfect.
